Dr. Thornberg is widely recognized for his independent, data-driven perspective and track record of challenging conventional economic thinking. He notably predicted the collapse of the subprime real estate bubble ahead of the Great Recession and has consistently provided clear-eyed analysis during periods of economic uncertainty.
A former faculty member at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, he founded Beacon Economics in 2006, growing it into one of the nation’s leading economic research and consulting firms.
